Das Funkhaus Berlin, in der DDR die zentrale Sendeanstalt des staatlichen Funk und Fernsehens und eines der architektonischen Wahrzeichen Ostberlins, wurde nach der Wende weltbekannt f\u00fcr seine einzigartige Akustik. Mit \u201eSilent Empire\u201c wird erstmals der sogenannte Resonanzk\u00f6rper, ein funktionaler, akustischer Hohlraum, zum Ausstellungsort erweckt. Kuratiert von Janine Eggert und Sibylle Jazra wird die Gruppenausstellung mit Arbeiten von \u00fcber 20 internationalen, aufstrebenden und etablierten K\u00fcnstlern diesen architektonischen \u201eNegativort\u201c des Funkhauses in ein Paralleluniversum verwandeln. <\/p>\n

The Funkhaus Berlin, central broadcasting station of the GDR state radio and television and one of the magnificent architectural landmarks of East Berlin, became world-famous for its unique acoustics after the German reunification. With \u201dSilent Empire,\u201c the so-called Sound Chamber is now being evoked as an exhibition site. Curated by Janine Eggert and Sibylle Jazra the group show with more than 20 international, emerging and established artists will turn this architectural dark side of the Funkhaus into a parallel universe.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Boat Shuttle: <\/strong>Am Er\u00f6ffnungswochende (8. und 10. September) wird ein Shuttle-Service per Boot \u00fcber die Spree angeboten. An- und abgelegt wird jeweils an den Anlegern der Reederei Riedel am Mercedesplatz\/M\u00fchlenstrasse sowie am Funkhaus.
